Baa Baa Black Sheep

23 September 2016 marks the fourteen anniversary of television series « baa baa Black Sheep ». Based on the true story of Gregory « Pappy » Boyington commanding VMF-214 Squadron during WW II, the famous TV series has inspired interest, not to say love, for aviation to many young as well as less young people.
Robert Conrad, acting as Boyington, was sharing the Star role with the Corsair, one of the most stunning War Bird with her distinctive seagull wing. Commissionned in the US Navy in 1942 the Corsair after difficult introduction due to deck landing issues was mainly operated by the US Marine Corps. After overcoming the carrier landing issues the Corsair became one of the most capable carrier-based fighter-bomber. Last production aircraft were delivered to the French Navy (Aéronavale) in 1953.
